BATAAN—The Philippine Post Office (PHLPost) has announced the launch of a new Kadiwa site in Bataan, marking a step forward in its collaboration with the Department of Agriculture (DA) to provide affordable commodities to more consumers. In a news release on Monday, PHLPost Postmaster General Luis Carlos revealed plans to open additional Kadiwa sites as part of a concerted government initiative.

According to Philippines News Agency, "PHLPost will continuously support the government initiative of whole-of-government approach wherein government agencies join hand-in-hand to realize the lead agency's project objective." The inaugural PHLPost Kadiwa pop-up store was opened in Mariveles on February 23. Northeast Luzon Area 2 Director Merma Abalos emphasized PHLPost's commitment to assisting the DA and local government units (LGUs) in rolling out more Kadiwa stores across the region. Upcoming launches include post offices in Tarlac and Olongapo City, scheduled to open their Kadiwa pop-up stores on March 15 and March 25, respectively.

The DA continues to support local producers and offer affordable agricultural commodities to consumers through the Kadiwa store initiative, as directed by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., in Metro Manila and selected provinces nationwide.
