MANILA — The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has announced that more than 4 million Filipinos have registered to vote in the upcoming 2025 midterm elections, surpassing the target set by the electoral body.
According to Philippines News Agency, as of June 26, a total of 4,057,001 applications for voter registration have been processed since the registration activities resumed on February 12. The registrants include 2,093,011 females and 1,963,990 males. Notably, Region 4-A (Calabarzon) leads with the highest number of registrants, totaling 696,555, followed by the National Capital Region with 561,714, and Region 3 (Central Luzon) with 477,016. The Cordillera Administrative Region recorded the lowest with 53,778 registrations. Voter registration continues across the country, running Mondays to Saturdays, including holidays, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with the deadline set for September 30, 2024.
