Bandar Seri Begawan: More than 1 thousand international delegates, including government leaders, law enforcement officials, academics, and industry experts attended the Asia International Security Summit And Expo 2025, AISSE '25 and Cybercrime Prevention Summit 2025. More than 300 companies from over 20 countries participated at the exhibition. The country's delegation was led by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Defence as Chairman of the National Security Committee.
According to Radio Television Brunei, Yang Berhormat also made a Courtesy Call to Yang Berhormat Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution bin Ismail, Minister of Home Affairs, Malaysia to discuss opportunities to strengthen cooperation in areas of mutual importance for both countries.
The AISSE '25 summit aims to foster closer cooperation at the regional and international stage in facing complex security challenges. Meanwhile, the Cybercrime Prevention Summit is a major sideline event held in conjunction with AISSE '25. Among those joining the delegation was His Excellency Retired Brigadier General Dato Paduka Haji Mahmud bin Haji Saidin, High Commissioner of Brunei Darussalam to Malaysia and Awang Zulhusam bin Haji Abdul Samad, Acting Permanent Secretary for Security and Law at the Prime Minister's Office as Head of Secretariat of the National Security Committee.
