His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah conducted the swearing-in ceremony for Yang Mulia Awang Haji Mohamad Azmi bin Haji Mohd Hanifah, the newly-appointed Deputy Minister of Energy in the Prime Minister’s Office.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the event was held at Istana Nurul Iman and attended by His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, among other high-ranking officials. Yang Mulia Awang Haji Mohamad Azmi bin Haji Mohd Hanifah officially assumed the role on October 24, 2023. The Letter of Appointment was recited by Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Penggawa Laila Bentara Istiadat Diraja Dalam Istana Pengiran Haji Alauddin bin Pengiran Paduka Tuan Pengiran Haji Abu Bakar, the Grand Chamberlain.
