Post: Individual and Companies Fined for Garbage Dumping Under Miscellaneous Offences Act

Bandar seri begawan: An individual and two companies have been penalized by the Licensing and Enforcement Division, Brunei Muara District Office for violating the Miscellaneous Offences Act, Chapter 30. Mohammad Nur Fakhrudin Arrazi bin Tahier received a fine of BND100, while Syarikat Sai Surya Sendirian Berhad was fined BND1,000 following complaints of garbage dumping at the Lambak Kanan Community Hall car park area. Additionally, another company was identified for discarding construction waste in an open area during a routine patrol in the Kampung Masin area. Both the individual and the company have been instructed to settle the fines within seven days.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the Enforcement Unit of the Tutong District Office also imposed a compound fine of BND1,000 on Syarikat Dahliea Enterprise for infringing the Miscellaneous Offences Act 2021. The company was discovered to have illegally dumped garbage in the project area of Kampung Penabai, Tutong. Similar to the other cases, Syarikat Dahliea Enterprise is required to pay the fine within a seven-day period.
