Rimba: The National Flag Handover Ceremony for the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) Contingent, participating in the Malaysian Battalion, MALBATT 850-13 under the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon peacekeeping mission, took place on the morning of 30th October. The ceremony was conducted at the Air Movement Centre, Rimba Air Force Base, where the national flag was handed over to the RBAF Contingent comprising 21 personnel.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the event was attended by Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, Commander of the RBAF, and His Excellency Datuk Mohd Aini bin Atan, High Commissioner of Malaysia to Brunei Darussalam. During the ceremony, the contingent members also received their badges. Following this, the contingent departed for Malaysia aboard the Royal Brunei Air Force C295MW aircraft. They are scheduled to continue their journey to Lebanon from Kuala Lumpur starting 5th November 2025.
