The Lowering of the Brunei Darussalam Giant-Sized Flag which flew majestically in Bandar Seri Begawan since the 16th of February, was held to mark the end of flag hoisting nationwide in conjunction with Brunei Darussalam's 39th National Day Celebration 2023. The ceremony was held at the open area of the Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Complex in the capital.
Present was Dato Seri Paduka Awang Mohd Riza bin Dato Paduka Haji Mohd Yunos, Deputy Minister for Civil Service Governance at the Prime Minister's Office.
The Giant-Sized national flag was lowered by personnel from the Royal Brunei Navy accompanied by the national anthem.
The ceremony ran concurrently with the handing over of the giant-sized flag to the Deputy Minister for Civil Service Governance at the Prime Minister's Office.
