Post: Khatam Al-Qur’an Ceremony Marks National Day in Brunei

Bandar Seri Begawan: In conjunction with Brunei Darussalam's 41st National Day Celebration, the nation witnessed the 41 Times Khatam Al-Qur'an Ceremony held simultaneously across the country. In the Brunei Muara District, the central event took place at Jame' 'Asr Hassanil Bolkiah, Kampung Kiarong. The ceremony included the reading of Surah Al-Fatihah, Doa Khatam, and Takhtim Al-Qur'an, aiming to foster cooperation in the development and education of youth and society.

According to Radio Television Brunei, Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Nazmi bin Haji Awang Mohamad, the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, was present at the ceremony in Brunei Muara District. Meanwhile, in the Belait District, the ceremony was held at Kampung Pandan National Housing Scheme Mosque, Kuala Belait, with Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Mohd Tashim bin Pengiran Haji Hassan, Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs, in attendance.

In Temburong District, a similar ceremony took place at Kampung Rataie National Housing Scheme Mosque. The event was attended by Brigadier General Udara Dato Seri Pahlawan Mohammad Sharif bin Dato Paduka Haji Ibrahim, Deputy Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces. The ceremony underscored the significance of community involvement in national celebrations.
