Extension of Collection Period for Humanitarian Fund for Palestinians in Gaza

Bandar seri begawan: With the consent of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, the collection period for the Humanitarian Fund for Palestinians in Gaza has been extended for another six months. The new collection timeline runs from 19th October 2025 to 18th April 2026, allowing the public to continue their contributions to support the Palestinian people in Gaza.

According to Radio Television Brunei, this extension involves the collection platforms associated with the fund. These platforms include Collection via SMS Brunei Prihatin, managed by Datastream Digital Sdn Bhd (DST Sdn Bhd), Progresif Sdn Bhd, and Imagine Sdn Bhd. Additionally, donation boxes have been placed in mosques, suraus, religious halls, public buildings, and commercial and banking institutions across the nation, in collaboration with the Association of Banks. The extension also encompasses the organization of charity activities aimed at gathering donations.

The total amount collected for the fund as of 15th October stands at $6,755,890.28. A portion of these funds has already been allocated for humanitarian aid, specifically in the form of ready-to-eat meal packets, which were air-dropped between 13th and 15th March 2024.
