eaching Al-Quran Using Sign Language


Various interesting activities are organised in conjunction with the Mahrajan Hafl al-Takharruj of Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University, UNISSA. One of them is the 5-day Basic Course of Teaching Al-Quran using Braille and Sign Language at Jame’ ‘Asr Hassanil Bolkiah, Kampung Kiarong.

19th and 20th August, the course focuses on the Basic Course of Teaching Al-Quran using Braille and Sign Language attended by 38 participants. It aims to apply the basic skills of teaching the Quran using sign language in a hands-on as well as provide awareness to the community to understand the needs of the Differently-abled individuals, OKU community. The course is organised by UNISSA through the Centre for Leadership and Lifelong Learning and Usuluddin Faculty in collaboration with the Ibnu Ummi Maktum Research Centre, University of Islamic Sciences Malaysia.
