Doa Kesyukuran Ceremony Marks Brunei’s 41st National Day Celebration
Bandar Seri Begawan: Brunei Darussalam’s 41st National Day celebration commenced with the mass Fardhu Maghrib prayer, the reading of Surah Yasin, and Doa Kesyukuran at various mosques, suraus, and religious halls throughout the country. The focal point of these events was the Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Mosque in the capital, where His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam participated alongside the nation’s citizens and residents.
According to Radio Television Brunei, His Majesty was accompanied by his sons, His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office, and His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Malik. Upon their arrival, they were welcomed by several dignitaries, including Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Indera Setia Diraja Sahibul Karib Pengiran Anak Haji Idris bin Pengiran Maharaja Lela Pengiran Muda Abdul Kahar, Chief of Adat Istiadat Negara; Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs; and other prominent ministers and officials.
The mass Fardhu Maghrib prayer was led by Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Seri Utama Dato Paduka Seri Setia Haji Awang Salim bin Haji Besar, who also conducted the Sunat Hajat prayer. Following the prayers, Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Seri Utama led the reading of Surah Yasin and Doa Kesyukuran, marking an auspicious start to the national celebrations.
