Deliberations Focus on Enhancing Transport and Infocommunications in Brunei


Bandar Seri Begawan: Deliberations for the Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications have centered on strategies to improve service quality for both the public and tourists. The discussions included a broad range of initiatives aimed at enhancing infrastructure and system efficiency.



According to Radio Television Brunei, one of the focal points was the enhancement of the existing payment system at Brunei International Airport. This improvement is aimed at facilitating smoother transactions for travelers. Furthermore, there is a concerted effort to upgrade the public transport system, which includes enhancing bus stops with better seating arrangements and improved accessibility.



The deliberations also emphasized the importance of developing early notification systems for road congestion, accidents, and emergencies on the highway. This initiative seeks to ensure timely information dissemination and improve overall road safety. In addition, there was a proposal to implement a one-way road system in strategic areas to alleviate traffic issues.



Another significant topic discussed was the necessity of balancing quality asset maintenance with existing resource constraints. This highlights the ongoing challenge of maintaining infrastructure quality while managing available resources effectively.
