Deliberations Focus on Education Strategies and Challenges

Bandar Seri Begawan: In the deliberations at the Committee Level for the Ministry of Education, various other issues were raised by the Appointed Members. Among them, strategic initiatives to enhance the marketability and employability of Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University graduates were discussed.

According to Radio Television Brunei, plans to upgrade schools in rural areas and provisions for students with special needs were also key topics. Efforts to support teaching staff and address disciplinary issues among teachers, particularly regarding professional conduct and ethics, were highlighted.

The provision of the Early Childhood Education Programme for children under five years old was emphasized, along with initiatives to highlight the natural treasures of Temburong District among students. The discussions also focused on increasing the effectiveness of the comprehensive education system, especially at the secondary level and above.

Expanding the Industry Immersion System at secondary school and higher education levels was another significant point raised during the committee’s deliberations.
