Post: Brunei and Thailand Celebrate Strong Bilateral Defence Relations

Berakas: Over the past 41 years, Brunei Darussalam and Thailand have developed close and robust diplomatic ties, both at the bilateral level and within the ASEAN framework. The close bilateral defence relations between the armed forces of both countries have significantly contributed to this relationship through regular visits, exchanges, and cooperation. This was highlighted by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Thailand to Brunei Darussalam during a reception marking the Royal Thai Armed Forces Day, organized by the Royal Thai Embassy. The event took place at a hotel in Berakas on the night of January 22.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the reception was attended by Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces. Her Excellency Boosara Kanchanalai, in her remarks, emphasized that the bilateral defence relationship has built mutual understanding, trust, and respect, and has promoted capacity building through shared experiences and best practices.
