The First Meeting of the 19th Legislative Council Session continued on the tenth day with the approval of the Allocation for the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism amounting over $84 million. Before approving the allocation, the Council reviewed several issues under the topic of the Ministry. Among the issue raised was the achievements of the agricultural sector by Yang Berhormat Awang Zainol bin Mohamed.
Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr. Awang Haji Abdul Manaf bin Haji Metussin, Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism in response shared that the performance of the agriculture and fisheries sector production has increased year-to-year, at $805.75 million compared to $781.26 million in 2021. The ministry is targeting $1 billion in the next few years.
