33 Individuals Embrace Islam in Brunei Darussalam

Bandar Seri Begawan: From early January to 7th February 2025, 33 people have embraced Islam in Brunei Darussalam. The number increased when an Indonesian woman chose Islam as her new faith.

According to Radio Television Brunei, Verona Putri, who is now known as Nurjannah Zhafira binti Abdullah, participated in a conversion ceremony held at Kampung Kiarong on the afternoon of 16th February. This event marks another step in the growing number of conversions in the country.

Meanwhile, a similar ceremony took place at Kampung Tagap, where a Chinese woman embraced Islam by reciting the Islamic oath. The 30-year-old, formerly known as Lim Yee Wen, has taken the Islamic name Yeewen Najla Zhafira Lim Kah Keh. This highlights the increasing trend of individuals adopting Islam in Brunei Darussalam.
