Water Supply Disruption Affects Brunei Muara District
Bandar Seri Begawan: Water supply disruption or low water pressure may occur at several areas in the Brunei Muara District at the moment.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the Public Works Department (PWD) informed in its press release that the disruption is due to the quality of raw water in the Tutong River, which contains high levels of organic matter and colored water, thus affecting the production of clean water. This situation will impact water levels in the main reservoirs.
Actions have been taken in accordance with standard operating procedures to address the situation and plan recovery actions until the clean water supply can resume as usual. In the meantime, the PWD urges cooperation from all parties to conserve water and contact Talian Darussalam 123 for tanker service requests.
