BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN — The Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) recently concluded the National Robotic Competition, a feature event of the 5th annual Robotic Coding Conquest (RCC).
According to Radio Television Brunei, this year's competition, held in conjunction with the Brunei Mid-Year Conference and Exhibition (MYCE) 2024, challenged students to create robotic solutions focused on the theme of 'Carbon Capture'. The aim was to foster innovative ideas that contribute to environmental sustainability. Datin Paduka Professor Dr. Dayang Hajah Zohrah binti Haji Sulaiman, Vice-Chancellor of UTB, presented the prizes. Winners of this national contest may have the opportunity to represent Brunei at the First Global Robotic Challenge in Athens, Greece, this September.
The competition emphasizes Brunei's commitment to integrating technology and education, promoting eco-friendly innovations among its youth, and enhancing their presence in international technology forums.
