Bandar seri begawan: Universiti Teknologi Brunei, UTB, recently hosted the first-ever Turkish Language Competition, attracting participation from university students across the region. His Excellency Professor Dr Hamit Ersoy, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkiye in the country, expressed his amazement and happiness with the students' proficiency in the Turkish language during his speech at the event.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the competition saw participation from students representing UTB, Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD), Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University (UNISSA), and Seri Begawan Religious Teachers University College (KUPU SB), all of whom are enrolled in Turkish language courses. The primary objectives of the competition were to assess the students' language knowledge and skills and foster a spirit of friendly competition in learning foreign languages. The event concluded with UBD claiming the first place, followed by UNISSA in second, and KUPU SB securing third place.
