Post: UBD Hosts Second ASEAN University Network Summer Camp with Focus on Sustainability

Bandar Seri Begawan: Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) recently hosted the second ASEAN University Network (AUN) Summer Camp, focusing on equipping future leaders with crucial skills and a collaborative mindset to tackle the challenges of rapid urbanization, climate change, and technological disruption.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the camp was officially opened by Doctor Awang Haji Azman bin Ahmad, Permanent Secretary for Higher Education at the Ministry of Education. The event provides a multidimensional learning platform where students are encouraged to explore innovative ideas, engage with experts, and co-create sustainable solutions. This year’s theme, ‘Green Stewardship: Preserving Biodiversity and Advancing Sustainable Development’, underscores the commitment to sustainability and environmental conservation.

The summer camp will run until 28 June, involving 163 students from 38 universities across the ASEAN region. Participants will have the opportunity to delve into various aspects of sustainability, promoting a deep understanding of biodiversity preservation and sustainable development practices.
