TUTONG DISTRICT — Two religious schools in the Tutong District, Batang Mitus Religious School and Bakiau Religious School, jointly hosted a Khatam Al-Qur'an Ceremony on June 29th. The event, which took place at the Pengiran Muda Abdul Wakeel Mosque in Kiudang, aimed to promote the reading of the Al-Qur'an among students.
According to Radio Television Brunei, 21 Primary Six students participated in the event, which serves as a culminating activity marking the completion of their initial Quranic education. The ceremony is a traditional event intended to encourage the daily practice of reading the Al-Qur'an among the youth, fostering a deeper connection with their faith from an early age.
