Post: Tutong Business Fined for Violating Miscellaneous Offences Act


Tutong: The Enforcement Unit, Tutong District Office has issued a compound fine to a business premise for violating the Miscellaneous Offences Act 2021. HARI-HARI MAJU ENTERPRISE was found guilty of piling up used construction materials and waste in public areas at Jalan Pengiran Haji Ahmad, Tutong Town.



According to Radio Television Brunei, the company received a BND2,000 compound fine and has been given 7 days to settle it. Failure to comply may lead to court proceedings, where if found guilty, the company could face fines between BND2,000 and BND10,000. For any subsequent offences, the penalties could escalate to fines of not less than BND10,000 and not more than BND30,000, or imprisonment for up to 12 months, or both.
