Brunei Darussalam - A training workshop on National Nutrition and Physical Activity Guidelines for Child Care Centres was organized by the Health Promotion Centre, Ministry of Health, on 8th December. The 2-day workshop, held in collaboration with the Department of Community Development, JAPEM, Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, saw the participation of 46 managers and workers registered with JAPEM.
According to Radio Television Brunei, The workshop provided a platform for participants to share their experiences, knowledge, and practices related to instilling a healthy lifestyle among children at child care centers. The initiative is part of the Health Promotion Centre's efforts to promote health and well-being from an early age.
As of now, 69 owners of child care centers have registered with JAPEM under the Child Care Centres Act 2006, indicating a growing commitment to children's health and nutrition within the community.
