Post: Temburong District Company Fined for Rubbish Disposal Violations

TEMBURONG — A local enterprise has been penalized for improper disposal of waste in the Temburong District, following an inspection by the Licensing and Enforcement Unit of the Temburong District Office.

According to Radio Television Brunei, Syarikat Kedai Kerjasama Mukim Amo was found to be throwing and piling rubbish in undesignated areas, violating the Miscellaneous Offences Act. This action came after the company had been previously warned and instructed to clean the affected area within a week.

The company has been slapped with a fine of $2,000 and was given a one-week deadline to both settle the penalty and remediate the site by clearing the accumulated waste, as mandated by the enforcement unit.
