Tutong: The delegation from the Ministry of Home Affairs, along with its departments and the Mukim and Village Consultative Councils in Tutong District, organized a Tadarus Al-Qur'an Ceremony at Kampung Layong Mosque, Tutong District, on the afternoon of February 24th. The delegation was led by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Minister of Home Affairs.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the event commenced with a mass Fardhu Asar prayer, followed by the reading of Tadarus Al-Qur'an, tahlil, and doa selamat. In addition to the religious activities, the ceremony featured the presentation of a wakaf or endowment intended for the mosque's use. Furthermore, donations were presented to 10 orphans from the village, marking a significant gesture of community support and charity.
