Sultan of Brunei Reaffirms Commitment to Strong Ties with China During Meeting

Beijing: During a meeting with the President of the People’s Republic of China, His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam emphasized the growing friendship between himself and President Xi Jinping. His Majesty expressed honor in being President Xi’s first State Guest in 2013 and highlighted China’s significant role in promoting global peace and development through initiatives like the Global Development Initiative.

According to Radio Television Brunei, His Majesty welcomed China’s ongoing success as a major power and expressed anticipation for continued collaboration to enhance the partnership between the two nations. He reaffirmed the commitment to the One China Policy and expressed appreciation for the goodwill extended to Brunei Darussalam and its people. His Majesty looks forward to furthering cooperation that will bring mutual benefits to the citizens of both countries.
