Meeting with His Excellency Zhao Leji: Strengthening Brunei-China Relations

Beijing: His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, in a titah, highlighted the progress under the Strategic Cooperative Partnership towards a Brunei-China community with a shared future. This signifies a joint dedication to strengthening relations, grounded in mutual respect and trust. His Majesty made this statement during the Meeting with His Excellency Xi Jinping, President of the People’s Republic of China, in conjunction with His Majesty’s State Visit to Beijing. His Majesty began the State Visit with a Meeting with His Excellency Zhao Leji, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress. The meeting took place in the Great Hall of the People, Beijing. Accompanying His Majesty was His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Mateen.

According to Radio Television Brunei, during the meeting, His Majesty stated that the shared dedication in promoting mutual interests has further strengthened a robust collaboration. His Majesty looked forward to furthering efforts to enhance the bonds of friendship and understanding between the people and countries.
