Bandar Seri Begawan – In a symbolic gesture to commemorate the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Bridge was illuminated in purple on the night of December 2nd. This event is observed annually on December 3rd.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the choice of purple lighting aligns with the official color of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, a practice also adopted by other countries around the world.
