Post: Ten Foreigners Arrested for Immigration Violations in Mukim Kilanas

Bandar seri begawan: Ten foreigners were arrested for violating the Immigration Act, Chapter 17 and were taken to the Law Enforcement Division for further investigation. According to Radio Television Brunei, the arrests were made following the Operasi Kakas conducted by the Department of Immigration and National Registration, which targeted rental houses in Mukim Kilanas. Among the offences found were overstaying in the country after their immigration passes had expired, failing to produce any valid documents, working on a visit pass, and re-entering the country illegally after being deported. The Department of Immigration and National Registration emphasized the importance of adhering to immigration regulations and the legal consequences of violations. They continue to carry out operations like Operasi Kakas to ensure compliance and maintain the integrity of the country's immigration system.
