Jerudong park: Jerudong Park Medical Centre, JPMC, through the Brunei Neuroscience Stroke and Rehabilitation Centre, organised a Stroke Awareness Talk. Held in conjunction with World Stroke Day, the talk focused on Belait District and Tutong District.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the sessions in both districts were attended by penghulu, village heads, representatives of government departments, non-governmental organisations, and senior citizens. The talk, which carried the theme "Understanding Hypertensive Haemorrhagic Stroke: A Silent Killer," emphasised the risks of uncontrolled high blood pressure, the importance of identifying the signs of stroke through the BE-FAST method, and the immediate action that needs to be taken. Participants also engaged in simulation activities to understand the challenges faced by stroke patients.
