Post: Strengthening Religious Ties and Education Discussed During Courtesy Call

Bandar Seri Begawan: Strengthening ties and sharing views as well as experiences in religious services, particularly in the ummah’s welfare and development as well as comprehensive religious education were among the matters discussed when Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs received a courtesy call from two prominent international Islamic scholars.

According to Radio Television Brunei, Professor Doctor Mohammad Abdel Daim Ali Al-Jundi, Secretary General of the Islamic Research Institute, Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, Arab Republic of Egypt, and Professor Emeritus Dato’ Doctor Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Secretary-General of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy, Jeddah, are in the country on an invitation for the Mazhab Syafi’i International Conference. They are set to present keynote working papers in conjunction with the 60th Anniversary of the Fatwa Institution in Brunei Darussalam. The courtesy call was held at the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
