Stakeholder’s Engagement on Eco Food Waste Initiative

Bandar Seri Begawan: The Department of Environment, Parks and Recreation (JASTRe), Ministry of Development organized the Stakeholders Engagement on Eco Food Waste Initiative with hotel managers, restaurants, cafes, and food catering companies. The event took place at the Authority on Building Control and Construction Industry (ABCi), on 19th March 2025.

According to Radio Television Brunei, Dayang Hajah Martinah binti Haji Tamit, Director of Environment, Parks and Recreation, attended the event. This engagement was part of the Eco Food Waste Initiative, aimed at promoting eco-friendly practices in managing food waste among selected hotels, restaurants, cafes, and food catering companies.

During the event, reusable bags, posters, and stickers were distributed to the invited representatives from these establishments, reinforcing the commitment to reduce food waste through sustainable practices.
