Bandar seri begawan: The country needs to continue to strengthen and transform the oil and gas sector to remain relevant and resilient. In addition, economic, educational, and social development is actively being implemented towards achieving the country's aspirations. These were among the matters shared during a Special Forum in conjunction with the 42nd National Day celebration. Organised by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports; and the Ministry of Education as co-organisers, the forum took place at the Chancellor Hall, Universiti Brunei Darussalam.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the event was attended by several key government figures, including Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs; Yang Berhormat Datin Seri Setia Doctor Dayang Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Md Salleh, Minister of Education; and Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Nazmi Mohamad, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports. The special forum featured four panelists who provided insights into the economic, educational, and social fields.
The discussions underscored the importance of evolving the oil and gas sector as a central pillar of the nation's economy, while also highlighting ongoing efforts in various developmental areas to meet the nation's future goals. The forum served as a platform to share insights and strategies for sustaining the country's progress in these critical sectors.
