Post: Significant GDP Growth

Bandar Seri Begawan: While deliberating on An Act to Supply A Sum of Money From the Consolidated Fund For Financial Year 2025/2026 and to allocate the sum for specific purposes, the Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy explained that the theme for the Financial Year 2025-2026 is still the same, which is 'Building A Prosperous Future Together.' Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah also shared several of the nation's achievements towards achieving Wawasan Brunei 2035. This includes the significant growth of the Gross Domestic Product, GDP.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the finalised national economic growth for 2024 recorded GDP growth by 4.2 per cent. This is significant achievement, as it is the highest growth since 1999. However, Yang Berhormat said we must not be complacent with the growth, and instead, should continue to strive and boost commitment in further diversifying the country's economic sector to be more sustainable.
