Brunei Celebrates Ramadhan Arrival with Traditional Cannon Fire

According to Radio Television Brunei, 12 shots of the cannon were fired in the capital to mark the coming of Ramadhan. This cannon fire is a tradition in Brunei Darussalam, symbolizing the celebration of Ramadhan’s arrival, a month filled with blessings.

The cannon shots were executed by Military Police personnel of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, RBAF. Starting on the evening of March 1st, Muslims across the country will participate in the Sunat Tarawih Prayer at mosques, suraus, and religious halls nationwide.
