The sighting of the new moon of Zulhijjah 1442 Hijrah will be carried out nationwide on Saturday afternoon, 10th of July 2021.
Syar’ie judges and Syariah court officials, Attorney General’s Office, Prime Minister’s Office together with officials from the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Survey Department, Ministry of Development and the State Mufti Department will be at the designated venues to sight the new moon of Zulhijjah 1442 Hijrah at the following venues:
In the Brunei Muara District, the moon sighting will be held at DST Tower of DST Headquarters in Tungku Highway; Bukit Agok in Jerudong; and Tanjung Batu in Kampung Sabun. In Belait District, it will be held at Bukit Lumut and in Tutong District, it will be held at Bukit Amboq. In this regard, the announcement of the 1st of Zulhijjah 1442 Hijrah and Hari Raya Aidil Adha will be broadcast on Radio Television Brunei as soon as the result of the sighting is obtained.
