Post: Report Reveals Extensive U.S. Military Support to Israel

Washington - The United States has provided a significant amount of military equipment to Israel since the onset of the recent conflict in the Gaza Strip, as reported by the Wall Street Journal. The arsenal, delivered to Israel since October 7, includes large bunker-busting bombs, approximately 15,000 bombs, and 57,000 artillery shells. This transfer of weaponry, executed via C-17 military cargo planes, commenced shortly after the conflict's escalation and has persisted in the subsequent days.

According to Philippines News Agency, the U.S. government has not previously disclosed the full extent of the weapons supplied to Israel, including the transfer of 100 BLU-109, 2,000-pound bunker-buster bombs. These bombs are noted for their ability to penetrate deep into fortified structures before detonation. The munitions shipment to Israel also encompasses over 5,400 MK84 bombs, 5,000 unguided MK82 bombs, around 1,000 GBU-39 small-diameter bombs, and approximately 3,000 joint direct attack munitions (JDAM), which transform unguided bombs into precision-guided munitions.

The Israeli military resumed bombing operations in the Gaza Strip early Friday, following a week-long humanitarian pause. Since the resumption of airstrikes, the Gaza Health Ministry reports at least 193 Palestinians killed and 652 injured. The escalation in violence has resulted in over 15,000 Palestinian casualties, predominantly children and women, since October 7, in response to a cross-border attack. Official estimates indicate that approximately 1,200 Israelis have also been killed in the conflict.
