Rasulov Remains Unbeaten in ONE Championship, Miado Suffers Fourth Consecutive Loss

BANGKOK — In a night of intense competition at Lumpinee Stadium, Alibeg Rasulov of Türkiye continued his winning streak by defeating Ok Rae Yoon of South Korea through a unanimous decision in their ONE Championship fight on Friday. Despite the victory, Rasulov missed an opportunity to compete for the interim title due to not making the 170-pound weight limit.

According to Philippines News Agency, the 31-year-old Rasulov, who failed to meet the weight requirement, nevertheless showcased his skills over five grueling rounds to maintain his undefeated record now standing at 14-0. The fight was initially set as an interim title bout while the defending champion, Christian Lee from the United States, is sidelined with an injury.

In other bouts of the night, Japanese fighter Hiroba Minowa edged out Filipino Jeremy Miado in a strawweight contest by split decision, marking Miado’s fourth consecutive defeat, bringing his professional record to 6-8. His previous victories were last noted in 2022, with subsequent losses to competitors including Mansur Malachiev, Lito Adiwang, and Keito Yamakita.

The event also featured the co-main bout where Nico “King of the North” Carrillo from Scotland secured a technical knockout against Saemapetch Fairtex of Thailand in the bantamweight muay competition. Carrillo demonstrated his prowess with powerful punches, leading to Fairtex’s third knockdown at the 2:03 mark of the second round, enhancing his record to 27-3.

Additionally, American Tye Ruotolo, the reigning ONE welterweight submission grappling world champion, continued his unbeaten streak in the organization by winning over Taiwanese-German Jozef Chen in a 186-pound non-title match, bringing his record to 28-9.

The event further saw Belarusian Kirill Grishenko overcoming South Korean Kang Ji Won in a heavyweight clash, while French fighter Bampara Kouyate secured a victory over Luke Lessei through TKO in a featherweight muay match.
