Following a noise complaint from the public on a live band activity in STKRJ Mata-Mata, Katok B, Jalan Nenas Sanggul, an operation was launched by officials and personnel from the Brunei Muara Police District Headquarters. Two houses were targeted.
During the raid, musical instruments were seized, as well as two bottles of alcoholic drinks and a number of empty cans of alcoholic drinks littering the area. The house owner will be investigated under Section 18 (1) of the Public Entertainment Act, Chapter 181 and if found guilty, they will be fined 10 thousand dollars for the first offence. For the second and subsequent offences, a fine of 20 thousand dollars and imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years will be imposed. All seized items will be handed over to the Royal Customs and Excise Department for further investigation and action.
