Parade Ceremony for Personal Ensigns Flag Bestowment Symbolizes Royal Brunei Police Force Commitment
Gadong: The Parade Ceremony for the Personal Ensigns Flag Bestowment of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam highlighted the dedication of the Royal Brunei Police Force to uphold the nation’s sovereignty and welfare. Held at the Royal Brunei Police Force Training Centre Parade Ground, the event was graced by His Majesty.
According to Radio Television Brunei, His Majesty was accompanied by His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office, and Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Masna, Commandant of the Women Police of the Royal Brunei Police Force. The Acting Commissioner of the Royal Brunei Police Force, DCP Dato Seri Pahlawan Awang Sulaiman bin Alidin, welcomed His Majesty upon arrival.
His Majesty received the Royal Salute and inspected the Guard of Honour, commanded by Superintendent of Police Pengiran Farid Mahader bin Pengiran Haji Matzin. The ceremony featured the bestowment of the Personal Ensign Flag, where His Majesty performed the ‘menepung tawar’ ritual, followed by the call of ‘Allahu Akbar’.
The event included a slow and fast-paced march past, showcasing the Royal Brunei Police Force, which commemorates its 104th anniversary this year. The Personal Ensign Flag bestowment is expected to bolster the force’s commitment to its duties for the nation’s well-being, justice, and security.
The Reading of the Royal Brunei Police Force Oath was led by Senior Superintendent of Police Haji Hamri Aslan bin Haji Abu Hanafiah, with the Doa read by Deputy Superintendent of Police Aimi Safwan bin Zalidin.
