23 individuals comprising 21 locals aged 28 to 70 and 2 Permanent Residents aged 40 and 55 were detained during 'Operation Jenggo SB' carried out by the Narcotics Control Bureau believed to be involved in drug abuse and trafficking activities.
The operation targeted small-scale drug trafficking activities at 10 locations in Temburong District which are also linked to drug trafficking syndicates in Kampong Ayer. 0.33 grams of syabu were found during the operation.
Also seized were materials used for drugs abuse. Meanwhile, 5 of the suspects detained from the operation were charged in the Magistrate's Court on 16th and 19th of August for previous charge and were fined and sentenced to imprisonment between 11 months and 4 years.
