‘Operasi Sakat’ Results in Arrest of Foreign Nationals for Misuse of Passes
Bandar Seri Begawan – Two foreign nationals were arrested in Brunei Darussalam for the misuse of their entry passes, highlighting the strict enforcement of immigration laws. The arrests were made during ‘Operasi Sakat,’ conducted by the Kuala Belait and Bandar Seri Begawan Law Enforcement Division of the Department of Immigration and National Registration, at two separate locations.
According to Radio Television Brunei, one foreign national was detained for further investigation during an operation at an auto equipment shop in the Belait District, found to be misusing a social visit pass. Another foreign national was arrested in the parking area of a shop building in Gadong for conducting sales activities while on a Visitor Pass.
