Musabaqah Al-Qur’an Reading and Memorisation Competition Concludes in Kampung Pulaie
Kampung pulaie: The Musabaqah Al-Qur’an Reading and Al-Qur’an Verses Memorisation and its Understanding for new converts nationwide continued its events with the Al-Qur’an Verses Memorisation and its Understanding Competition. This event was organised as part of the Islamic Da’wah Centre’s Ruby Jubilee celebrations and took place on the morning of 8th October.
According to Radio Television Brunei, 11 participants showcased their Al-Qur’an reading skills. This competition aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of the guidance provided through the Muallaf Guidance Scheme and Classes. Additionally, it sought to inspire new converts to deepen their understanding of Islamic teachings through the Al-Qur’an.
The prize presentation ceremony for both competitions was conducted on the afternoon of 8th October. It was officiated by Awang Misle bin Haji Abd Karim, the Acting Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs. Awang Muhammad Faizul bin Muhammad Azlan from Tutong District and Dayang Nurul’ain binti Mohd Redzuan from Temburong District emerged as champions in the men’s and women’s categories of the Musabaqah, respectively. In the Al-Qur’an Verses Memorisation and its Understanding Competition, Awang Muhammad Fadzil Eshan bin Haji Abdul Alyan and Dayang Nurul Zariah Diyanah binti Muhammad Ali Arman, both from Tutong District, secured the top spots in the men’s and women’s categories, respectively.
