The signing of a Memorandum of Understanding, MoU between the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports and Universiti Brunei Darussalam, UBD is one of the efforts towards supporting the desire to improve the quality of people’s lives through a ‘whole of nation’ approach. Cooperation with institutions of higher learning further increases efforts in carrying out the mandate as a government machinery that preserves and dignifies the language, culture and national treasures. The matter was stated by Dayang Hajah Nor Ashikin Binti Haji Johari, Permanent Secretary for Community at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports during the MoU Signing ceremony with UBD, yesterday afternoon.
Present to witness the signing ceremony was Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Nazmi bin Haji Mohamad, Minister of Culture, Youth And Sports. The MoU was signed by the Permanent Secretary for Community at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, as well as Pengiran Haji Rosli bin Pengiran Haji Halus, Director of Administration and Finance. Meanwhile, UBD was represented by its Vice Chancellor, Dr Hazri bin Haji Kifle and Dayang Rubiah binti Haji Yacub, Assistant Vice Chancellor for Corporate and Administration.
