Post: Library Project Empowers Students Through Book Donation in Brunei

Bandar Seri Begawan: The Library Project is making strides in empowering students across the sultanate by fostering a reading culture through the donation and distribution of books to schools in need. This initiative, a collaboration between students from The Centre for the Development of Gifted and Talented Education, EDGE under the Ministry of Education, and the Brunei Council on Social Welfare, MKM, was recently executed at Nakhoda Abdul Rashid Primary School in Kampung Menunggol.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the books were handed over by Yang Berhormat Dayang Chong Chin Yee, a Member of the Legislative Council. These books, sourced from both private and public contributors, encompass a range of genres, catering to the diverse interests of young readers. Launched in 2022, the Library Project has witnessed substantial progress and growing involvement from schools and the local community, marking a positive step towards enhancing educational resources for students in the region.
