Government Provides Financial Aid to Disaster Victims in Brunei

Bandar Seri Begawan: In a significant show of support, 15 heads of families received financial aid from the Government of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam. The aid was distributed through the Department of Community Development, Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, during a ceremony held at the ministry.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the donations were handed over by Dayang Fauziah binti Haji Mohd Salleh, the Acting Director of Community Development. The recipients included victims of house fires, collapsed houses, floods, and strong winds, highlighting the diverse nature of challenges faced by the affected families.

The assistance aims to alleviate the burden on the victims, enabling them to manage their daily lives more effectively amidst the challenges posed by these disasters. The government’s initiative reflects its commitment to supporting citizens in times of need.
