Post: Jaro churches to hold 2nd collection for adopted Kenya parish

Churches under the Archdiocese of Jaro in Iloilo province will be having a second collection in all its Masses on Sunday. In a circular issued on Monday, Archbishop Jose Romeo Lazo appealed for the generosity of the faithful to help the archdiocese's adopted parish and community in Turkana, Kenya in building its sacristy and rectory. 'The Archbishop of Jaro has recently visited our adopted Parish and Community in Turkana, Kenya and one of the major observations he had was the need to provide a sacristy and rectory,' it said. 'The development of the physical structure is deemed necessary as we continue to work for our mission,' the circular added. Lazo said the second collection will help in the implementation of various projects of Holy Family Parish in Lodwar Diocese, Turkana, Kenya. "With your support, we will be able to help our brothers and sisters in Kenya. The proceeds will be remitted by pastors to the curia,' the circular added.
