Bandar Seri Begawan: Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) students embarking on educational internships in Turkiye have witnessed a notable increase compared to last year. This year, UTB has sent three times more students to Turkiye for an internship module through Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University, with placements in various design and engineering sectors.
According to Radio Television Brunei, His Excellency Professor Doctor Hamit Ersoy, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkiye to Brunei Darussalam, highlighted that these educational programs, alongside cultural activities and community engagement at the Embassy, further promote people-to-people exchanges between the brotherly nations.
These academic and professional exchanges are facilitated under a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between UTB and approximately 209 Turkish universities, through the Yunus Emre Institute.
The MoU on Cooperation in Higher Education, signed by Datin Paduka Professor Dr. Dayang Hajah Zohrah binti Haji Sulaiman, Vice-Chancellor of UTB, and His Excellency Professor Doctor Hamit Ersoy, establishes a framework for long-term cooperation between the educational institutions in both countries.
