Bandar Seri Begawan – The Department of Immigration and National Registration has issued a stern reminder to employers following two 'Operasi Sakat' enforcement operations conducted in the Brunei Muara District, emphasizing the importance of valid employment passes and adherence to job positions as specified in documentation.
According to Radio Television Brunei, a foreign national was detained in Mukim Berakas 'A' for overstaying and working with an unauthorized employer. In a separate raid, four out of eight foreigners were detained in Mukim Berakas 'B', with violations ranging from working outside their permitted roles to failure to present valid documents. Additionally, in Mukim Berakas 'A', five foreigners were apprehended for documentation issues, and in Gadong 'B', an Indonesian woman was detained and sentenced for overstaying, with an additional fine for non-payment.
