His Majesty’s Personal Gift of Dates Ensures Smooth Ramadhan Distribution

Bandar Seri Begawan: Towards ensuring that the Distribution of His Majesty’s Personal Gift of Dates runs smoothly and perfectly, Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, as coordinator, was committed to the logistics and transportation services of the dates.

According to Radio Television Brunei, this year, Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah purchased Safawi dates amounting to 159.5 metric tonnes, from the supplier company Al Mohamadia Dates, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The dates were transported using a sea vessel with two voyages carrying eleven units of air-conditioned containers.

A total of 531,666 small boxes will be distributed to all Muslims including Muslim foreign workers in the country. Each person receives a small box of dates weighing 300 grams for breaking the fast in the month of Ramadhan.

Date delivery and distribution operations are carried out using ‘Whole of Government’ and ‘Whole of Nation’ approaches. The unity that is applied makes the distribution of His Majesty’s Personal Gift of Dates run smoothly in conjunction with the month of Ramadhan this year.
